Draconian Tower

At one time, the draconian empire ruled over vast lands in Erion. Tall and strong as ogres or trolls, but with magic to rival the elves, and a lust for conquest learned from their greater dragon kindred, many human, dwarf or even orc settlements learned to fear the shadow of a winged draconian in the sky, and the demand for tribute of slaves or treasure. Nobody is entirely sure why the draconian empire fell, whether an act of the gods, some deed of heroism, or simply an alliance made against them. For whatever reason, the draconians have retreated to this, once their capital, now their last remaining stronghold, serving the great dragons, worshipping their god Tiamat, and some say, biding their time until they are ready for conquest once again. Some even claim that that time might be coming, especially with the way that draconians have once more started taking slaves, or demanding tribute from travellers, though this might just mean an overly ambitious king has taken the throne. Either way, the only thing draconians respect is strength, so anyone visiting their stronghold should be prepared to prove themselves in battle.
