What is Cooking?
-
The Cooking System lets players learn recipes from cooks in Grand Hearth
Academy and prepare them into dishes and drinks with the 'prepare' command,
drawing ingredients straight from their pantry. Preparing something unfolds
over several steps, each needing its own tool or station, from a knife and
cutting board to a stone oven or a tripod cauldron. Better ingredients and a
steadier hand at each step earn a higher quality dish, and mastering the
advanced cooking skill shortens preparation times, unlocks preparing several
dishes at once, and is required to ever cook one to exquisite quality. Adding
two extra ingredients while preparing an advanced dish lets it carry a buff
as well. Eating or drinking what you make restores more hit points or mana
than store-bought food, rising further with quality.
