Most recipes lean on a station or tool along the way rather than just a
knife and cutting board. A stone oven and a firepit cover most baking and
boiling steps; a butter churn turns skimmed cream into butter; a mortar and
pestle grind peppercorns into pepper; a quern grinds wheat into flour; and a
tripod cauldron handles anything that needs boiling. A culinary kit lets you
carry a set of hand tools (knives, pestles, and the like) without them
cluttering your inventory.
