Nearly a century ago, the Draconian King constructed this massive amphitheatre. Draconians would challenge one another to duels, slaves would fight for their freedom, dragons would devour whole armies, demons would be summoned to present bloody spectacles, all for the entertainment of baying crowds. After the Draconians were driven out of this part of the world, the colosseum fell into disrepair, that was until Brutus quite literally stumbled upon the place. Celebrating his victory in a local wrestling tournament with a drunken tour of the ruins, Brutus tried to see what the view was like from the colosseum's roof, he fell a full three stories, breaking his neck, only to wake up a few hours later having suffered no ill effects except for some slight soreness; well no ill effects except for the granddaddy of all hangovers. Whether due to some strange Draconian magic, the summoning of demons or some benign god's favour, within the walls of the colosseum, even the most dreadful of injuries would rapidly heal, making even the most violent forms of death just a miner, if painful, inconvenience. An ex wrestler and prize fighter, Brutus was quick to capitalise on his discovery, rebuilding the colosseum and reopening it as the ultimate fighting arena for all of Erion, offering both visitors and potential gladiators the thrill of mortal combat, without any risk of actual death. Over the years Brutus's success has grown in proportion with his ego. First hiring a wizard to populate the arena with the vilest beasts for gladiators to battle, along with a nurse to help gladiators recover and his own specially designed and hand crafted prizes, what was once a source of terror, pain and death is now merely light entertainment; Brutus even owns his own line of merchandise.
