Nobody is exactly sure where Erion's various talking cats come from. Some particularly zealous followers of Aelyn claim that they were created directly by the preserver herself as a mark of her special favour to the world; though others claim Aelyn rarely interferes with nature accept to preserve life. Others say it some strange cross-breeding occurred between ordinary cat species, and the mysterious lunar weretigers, whilst still others maintain it was the work of a powerful but forgetful elven mage who liked talking to her pet cats a little too much. The cats themselves however; in typical lackadaisical feline fashion do not care. As far as they're concerned, so long as the world contains saucers of cream, birds and mice to hunt, and perhaps even an occasional affectionate stroke that's fine with them. Though hardly cooperative, with their knack for finding shiny objects, as well as their skill at hunting, they found money was easy to come by. One or two feline families built homes near a pleasant meadow, with plenty of grass to frolic in and abundant wild prey. One or two became more, and eventually tails town was founded. From mysterious weretigers, to playful kittens, energetic Niko and wise winged tressyms, all species of felines can be found in tailstown, the purr-fect place for all types of cat, and a good place for any adventurer's seeking work; well so long as you're not allergic to fur and don't accidently step on anyone's tail.
