Temple Veritas stands as a place where Velkara's two great principles are upheld equally: justice and mercy. It is divided between two wings: to the west, the Wing of Justice, where the sword of judgment hangs and those who have done wrong are made to stand and answer for it; to the east, the Wing of Mercy, where white lilies grow in the walls and the air carries a fragrance like something absolved. A high priest has been slain within the halls of the temple, the key to the Inner Sanctum stolen, and an innocent man has vanished. Witnesses stand among the faithful, their accounts full of gaps and contradictions, and not all who wear the temple's robes have come to worship. High Priestess Serenya seeks someone clear-minded and unbound by the influence now taking hold within the temple to uncover who is behind these crimes. The truth is here. It only needs to be found.
