Queen Lylylali speaks sweetly of her people's long peace among the trees,
but her tone sharpens when she describes one particular elf on the valley
floor, a bitter, vengeful figure she considers a threat to that peace who
must be dealt with permanently. She sends an adventurer down to the meadows
below to hunt him out and demands proof of the kill to set her mind at ease.
It is an assassination task cloaked in courtly politeness, best suited to
someone comfortable following orders without asking too many questions about
royal justice. |
