Hatching Eggs

← Back to Farming

Syntax: farm eggs ‑ list of your eggs and chicks reminder eggs ‑ login reminder release <thing> release experience You can place eggs inside a nesting box, which can be bolted to your player home. Wild nesting boxes are also available in certain areas. Each nesting box can only hold a limited number of eggs at one time (lore each nesting box to find the limitation). Eggs take 6 hours to hatch. Having a chicken present in the room with the nesting box reduces the time by half. Looking at a nesting box will display the current hatching process. Each player home can contain one nesting box. Once eggs are placed in a nesting box, they cannot be removed. Only you may collect the chicks you personally hatch, preventing other players from taking them. Chicks in wild nesting boxes will disappear after one week if not claimed. Chicks inside player homes remain permanently until collected. Chicks can be released into specific sectors that are safe for them to survive. Releasing a chick grants experience, a feather of liberation, and a chance to increase your farming skill. The experience rewarded diminishes the more frequently you release, starting at 4000xp and decreasing by 200xp per release down to a minimum of 200xp. Experience recovers over time at a rate of 200xp per 30 minutes since your last release. The command 'release experience' to see how much experience you will gain from releasing a chick and when your next experience increase will occur. Without the farming skill, you can place up to 10 eggs in public nesting boxes (across your account) and up to 10 eggs in player home nesting boxes (per character). As your farming skill increases, the total number of eggs you can have active in player home nesting boxes increases, up to a maximum of 30 eggs per character at full mastery. This limit is shared across all nesting boxes, not per box. To see how many eggs a nesting box can hold, used the lore command.
