Belinda is mourning the library's torn and tattered books, casualties of
the Enchantress's cruel idea of modernizing the castle, since unlike
furniture or fabric, a book with its pages ripped out cannot simply be
mended by hand. She recalls that some elven spellbooks endure for centuries
and suggests that an old elven wizard in the merchant's marketplace might
know how to restore the damaged volumes, sending an adventurer off with a
bag to carry the injured books safely to him. The task grows from there
into crafting a pair of high level grimoires and gathering strands of magic
to satisfy the wizard's requirements before the repaired books can finally
be returned to Belinda. |
