Set at the very centre of the continual chaos of Nexus of Nature, Mount Fulcrum is an oasis of calm. Here, all the weather and elemental forces of Erion seem in balance, making it resemble the eye of a hurricane. Whether this is because it is the dwelling place of Lady Tornadis, goddess of weather, or whether Tornadis herself chose to settle here because of Mount Fulcrum's peculiar sense of balance none can tell. Tornadis herself is said to live in a huge glass dome atop the high mountain, served by the weather wardenesses. A special, female only arm of Tornadis's priesthood, the weather wardenesses spend their time serving their goddess directly, watching the skies, and predicting the weather. Though usually recruited from among the storm giants and cloud giants, recently the weather wardenesses have inducted their first human priestess. This also has sparked an intense debate about whether the order of wardenesses, like the rest of Tornadis's priesthood, should allow male members, a matter which is causing much lively debate. Visiting adventurers are nevertheless welcome, if they show respect, indeed many female adventurers, especially those interested in joining Tornadis's religion, have undertaken a sacred task to bring offerings to the goddess. The task has been traditionally forbidden to men, though those traditions might be changing. Either way, visitors should take care, for Tornadis herself is a capricious goddess, kind as spring rain, unforgiving as lightning, and changeable as the very wind itself.
