| Description |
An aged kitsune keeps a mournful vigil outside the gauntlet, recounting
the legend of the warlord Korosu, a peerless warrior who traded his fading
strength to the dark sorcerer Shimetsu for an unnatural curse of endless
battle. Now Korosu and his chosen elite are trapped in an undying cycle
across thirty six chambers of the cursed fortress, growing stronger with
every defeated challenger and returning to life no matter how thoroughly
they're beaten. The kitsune hopes that one day someone might fight through
every single chamber, defeat Korosu himself, and find the place deep in the
fortress's foundations where the curse was first cast, finally granting
these ancient warriors the release of true death. It's a grueling, high
level gauntlet test of endurance across dozens of battles, suited only to
powerful adventurers around level ninety chasing glory. |
