The Beastman is quietly smitten with Belinda and just as quietly
heartbroken over his old harp, an instrument that has kept him company for
years but has literally played her strings to nothing with no spares left to
replace them. He explains that proper strings need brass wire cores wound
with cotton and finished in beeswax for a warm, rich tone, and he sends an
adventurer first to find a dwarven smith who can produce the wire, then to
gather cotton, wood, and beeswax in turn. |
