Blacksmithing is the art of shaping and manipulating metal, using heat
and specialized tools. Blacksmiths heat the metal in a cauldron until it
becomes malleable, then shape it using tools such as a hammer. The
resulting metal can be used to craft items ranging from weapons and armor to
tools and decorative items.

The blacksmithing skill can be acquired by completing the mission given by
Kercha in the Smithy in Crafters Forge.

The make command is used begin transforming raw materials into metals.

1 bar of brass requires 2 copper ores.
1 bar of bronze requires 1 iron and 1 copper ore.
1 bar of blenyx requires 2 blenyx ores.
1 electrum plate requires 1 gold ore, 1 iron ore, and 1 copper ore.
1 bar of gonyx requires 1 gold and 1 blenyx ore.
1 bar of gold requires 6 gold ores.
A small amount of currency requires 2 gold ores.
1 shard of glass requires 3 mounds of sand.

A bar of blenyx can be eaten to obtain 1 mudpie, while a bar of gonyx can be
eaten for questpoints.


3. advanced blacksmithing
The advanced blacksmithing skill can be acquired at the master crafter in
Crafters Forge. Those skilled in advanced blacksmithing need up to 25% less
time to smelt ores and are sometimes able to create an extra bar of metal
from each batch of ores smelted. Advanced blacksmithing must be fully
mastered in order to make plates of electrum.
