The cleric of Bandell delivers grim news: the Thudhammer clan has
escalated from vandalism to outright slaving, ambushing a caravan on the
highway and dragging off an entire family along with another young couple.
The lone survivor, traumatized and barely coherent, can only say the
attackers were dwarves in black armor wielding warhammers. The cleric asks
you to find the Thudhammer hideout, believed to be hidden somewhere
underground in the valley, free every captive held there, and put an end to
the clan's leader once and for all. It's a serious rescue and combat
mission for capable adventurers ready to confront the full weight of the
